The Canterbury campus

Campus life is so convenient. Many universities are spread across the city and you have to get a bus to lectures, one advantage at Canterbury is that you can roll out of bed and get to your lecture in 5 minutes!

You're just 2 minutes from the library, shop, bars and lecture theatres, plus, it's great to have a cooked breakfast waiting downstairs after a good night out! With launderettes, bookshop, travel agent, banks, and sports facilities on campus, there isn't any real need to leave campus at all! We have our own theatre, The Gulbenkian, and cinema, something most universities don't have; cheap student rates and films you may not catch at the mainstream cinema. These are real bonuses, and do make student life a bit easier, and fun!

At Kent, we are really lucky to have our own nightclub, 'The Venue'. It sells cheap drinks and there is something different every night; school disco Monday, live music at Tuesday's 'alternative night' and many themed nights, so you can get your fancy dress out! As it's on campus, no taxi fares, and only students go here, so you will always see familiar faces. Also, it's very safe; you can even request an escort home if you leave alone!

The Medway Campus

Our new Medway campus houses state-of-the-art facilities in new and historic buildings, situated near The Historic Dockyard in Chatham.

Pembroke originally started life as a royal navy barracks, HMS Pembroke, built between 1897 and 1903. Today the old drill hall is a new state-of-the-art Learning Resources Centre which contains a library, computing space; networked and non-networked study spaces; training rooms and discussion space.

New teaching facilities include lecture theatres and seminar rooms equipped with the latest technology, plus specialist music studios, rehearsal rooms and sports facilities. Students have access to the sports hall which caters for activities such as football, disabled basketball and Tae Kwon Do, and includes a multi-gym with modern fitness equipment. The Jellicoe Building houses lecture theatres, seminar rooms, the Students' Union and the Drunken Sailor pub.
